| Elkarri. Social movement for dialogue and agreement |
Elkarri is the social movement for dialogue and agreement in the Basque Country. It was born in 1992 to defend and mobilise the model of a peaceful and dialogue solution to the Basque conflict. Its mission is to contribute to the peace process. It is a plural, independent organisation consisting of 3,000 members, with 100 local workshops in the towns and suburbs of the Basque Autonomous Community and Navarre, and also in Madrid, Barcelona and Brussels. Eight hundred active voluntary members work in elkarri. It is 85% self-funded.
